Biophilia Intruder Match to Overcome Low Back Pain

What is low back pain?

Low back pain is a universal human experience—almost everyone has experienced it at some point. The area of the lower back that begins below the ribcage is known as the lumbar region. Pain here can be intense and is one of the leading reasons for missing work. Fortunately, low back pain usually gets better on its own. If not, there are effective treatments.

Symptoms of low back pain can range from a dull ache to a tingling or shooting sensation. Pain may make it difficult to move or stand up straight. Acute back pain comes on suddenly, usually after a sports or weightlifting injury. Pain that lasts longer than three months is considered chronic. If your pain does not improve within 72 hours, you should consult your doctor.

back pain culprit

You work. If your job involves heavy lifting, pulling, or anything that distorts your spine, it can cause back pain. However, sitting at a desk all day has its own risks, especially if your chair is uncomfortable or you tend to slouch.

your bag. While you can sling a purse, backpack or briefcase over your shoulders, it's your lower back that supports your upper body -- including any extra weight you're carrying. As such, an overstuffed bag can strain your lower back, especially if you carry it around day in and day out. If you must carry heavy loads, consider switching to a wheeled briefcase.

your workout. Excessive exercise at the gym or on the golf course is one of the most common causes of low back pain from overstretched muscles. You're especially vulnerable if you tend to be inactive during the workweek and then spend hours at the gym or on the softball field on weekends.

your posture. Mom was right: "Stand up straight!" Your back supports your weight best when you're not hunched over. This means sitting down with good lumbar support, shoulders back, and feet on a low stool. When standing, keep your weight balanced on your feet.

Herniated disc. The vertebrae of the spine are cushioned by gel-like discs that are prone to wear and tear from aging or injury. Weak discs may rupture or swell, putting pressure on the spinal nerve roots. This is called a herniated disc and can cause severe pain.

Diagnose low back pain

To help your doctor diagnose the source of your low back pain, be specific about the type of pain, when it started, associated symptoms, and any chronic medical history. Your doctor may order X-rays, CT, or MRI scans to look for damaged bones or discs, or other spinal injuries. You can also use 3D-NLS, which can detect your waist quickly and accurately.

how to treat

Low back pain home care. Back pain from a muscle strain usually gets better on its own, but you can take steps to make yourself more comfortable. A heating pad or warm bath can provide temporary pain relief.

Yoga if. Back pain that doesn't go away in three months, and there's evidence that yoga can help. In a recent study, people who took a 12-week yoga class reported fewer low back pain symptoms than those who received books on back pain care. These benefits continued for several months after the course ended. The study shows that traditional stretching is just as effective. Make sure your trainer is experienced in teaching back pain patients and will modify poses for you as needed.

Spinal manipulation. Chiropractors and some osteopaths use spinal manipulation to treat low back pain by applying pressure with the hands to the bone and surrounding tissue. This treatment is not for everyone.

massage therapy. Massage may help relieve chronic low back pain, according to a government-funded study. After 10 weeks, those who received weekly massages had less pain and were better able to carry out daily activities than those who received conventional care. This was true regardless of the type of massage they received, and the effects lasted at least six months. You can try massage therapy with a ten-point acupuncture machine.

acupuncture. Can Acupuncture Treat Low Back Pain? The evidence is mixed. In 2009, a study of hundreds of people with chronic back pain found surprising results. Those who had simulated acupuncture (which involved tapping the skin with a toothpick) achieved the same benefits as those who did it with real needles. After eight weeks, both groups had greater remission than those who did not receive acupuncture. The acupuncture pen is a more convenient acupuncture tool.
